Went out to check out a new area. Definitely a horse favorite. Pretty hilly in them parts. Plenty of animal sign. The trails are nice n sandy. Came across a dead deer on the way back. Might just have to go back.

Went out for some quail. Decided to take gold ridge which doesnt seem to be used much. Made it up in to the srcub which I came across a mule deer. Headed back down to south fork and into a little side canyon. Views were great and was sprinkled on alittle bit. Theres snow up on the ridgeline.

2 day trip turned into overnight which turn into a day hike. Burned through a gallon quick. With no water found went back home. Plenty of animal sign. Came across what looked like bear scat the diameter of the end of a baseball bat. Prolly was samsqwanch. Or someone took a nice black juniper/pricklypear/scruboak log on the trail.Aint no bear scat ive seen regular before. I regret not taking a picture of it. On my way out a raven headed the same direction. Came across a couple on there way out also. We chatted as we hiked out. As I waited for my ride. A hunter came cruising on his mountain bike checkin his cams and doing a quick scout. He had same results plenty of sign no water. We both agreed the canyons are alive but where they're getting water dont kknow. Hopefully winter brings the wet. Cuz it bad. Had some great pictures but camera blew it. As the kids say these days REEEEEEE
