Roger, Dan, and I made this loop today. It was a great day hike. The road to Tortilla Trailhead leaves a little to be desired. I'm sure Roger will give more detail on the hike. I would like to point out that this hike was listed as 8.2 miles however my GPS had it at 9.26 miles. Oh Well just one extra mile of FUN! :)

I had to try this trail today just to see what kind of shape i'm in. And much to my surprise i did'nt have to much trouble. It was my first time to see Weavers Needle from the south. "awesome!" is all i'll say.went out to the end of Needle Vista Ridge for some snapshots then doubled back to catch the cave trail. Was exactly as described in trail summary i read last night made it a simple matter of following the many cairns and the excellent decription on a print out.I will do this one again soon.
gps data:trip odom-6.37 miles
overall avg. speed-1.6 mph
moving avg.2.0 mph
stopped time 0:49
total time 3:59

My son matthew and I took this trail this morning.I picked it because it looked like something he could do.He made it alright, but he was whining pretty bad by the time we got to the falls location. he's only 12 and already over 200 lbs. We both need to get in shape for some more serious hikes coming up in the fall and winter.
