  Likely In-Season!
Overview
This Tonto National Forest now legal vehicle camp area located between the Sierra Ancha Wild "Carr TH" and the "Moody TH" is high up on Workman Creek Road (FR487) to in-vehicle or tent camp for 1 to 4 vehicles maximum. This higher altitude campsite area (at 7,160 ft) with nice pines, oaks, adequate shade, and fire rings is a great choice for enjoying cooler summer day and night temps, camping privacy and provides a central location for day hiking access to many of the upper FR487 Sierra Ancha Wilderness Trails.

Warning
.. Driving access past the FR487 day use only "Falls Camp Area" (for ~1.5 miles) to this recommended vehicle campsite is strictly high clearance with 4WD only.
..July and August is Monsoon Season in this Sierra Ancha Wilderness area.
