Top photo: the dogs were being a little crazy so they had to stay back and walk with Jaelyn: Coulee, Tootsie, Puja, Jaelyn, Chloe. Bottom photo shows the start of the hike to Kawa Beach.

Visitors must walk for approximately half a mile before reaching it - keeping in mind it's surrounded by private property and sacred burial grounds. Also known as Kawaa Bay, it is a unique and beautiful spot on the Big Island of Hawaii, located in the Ka'u District. It's a small, quiet, pebbly cove that offers a peaceful experience, but it's also known for strong currents and the possibility of sharks.
