This isn't a great photo but I thot it was interesting that from Antelope Island we could see the CARSR (radar tower inside the golf ball) which probes the sky, sending out over 20,000 pulses of electromagnetic energy on every 360 degree rotation of its massive antenna. If there is something in the sky, these pulses will reflect off of the object and complete their round trip back to the CARSR.

Interesting tidbit: Before the RADAR towers were built, Francis peak was 9,547 (seven feet taller). Some maps list the height as 9,630 because of the additional 115 feet of RADAR towers.

The plant is Twiggy Mullein (gotta love that name)
