This was the flora at Bloods Lake Trailhead. The Rose Hips were outstanding as was the Chicory. The yellow flower is ‘Hannay’s Lemon Drop’ or Bur Marigold and is distributed throughout much of Eurasia and North America. It is commonly called nodding beggarticks or nodding bur-marigold. It's an aster.

Chicory Common is a somewhat woody, perennial herbaceous plant of the family Asteraceae, usually with bright blue flowers, rarely white or pink. Native to the Old World, it has been introduced to North America and Australia.

The rose hip or rosehip, also called rose haw and rose hep, is the accessory fruit of the various species of rose plant. It is typically red to orange, but ranges from dark purple to black in some species.
