From the trailhead, it was 8.49 miles to the beach area of Tonto Creek (where we found a deer carcas wrapped around a tree from the recent flooding). We did a little bit of off-trail "exploring" on the way down to the creek, on the way back it was 7.04 miles straight with 2915 ft of accumulated gain. Great day, great group, and awesome scenery.
