Nick and I were the only ones who had previously hiked this trail, so I was excited for the others to see what was in store for them. There is so much diversity from start to finish, and views that are almost unmatched. The weather was perfect, although the trail conditions near the peak were another story. We had to navigate our way through wet snow on the final 1000ft of climbing, which made it incredibly difficult. We saw bear prints in the sand, a few deer near the trailhead, and an Arizona Black Rattlesnake on the road while we were leaving. |
