Once again, set out for a White Tank summit, and failed! Made it further than last time, though. It was a really nice day, despite being much hotter than the forecast called for. We took our sweet time getting through the trail. Made it just passed mile marker three and went ahead of my sister while she waited. I got around mile 4 where we were supposed to go off trail for the ridge, but it looked too thick for me, and without GPS, I wasn't sure where to start. Not to mention I was still a little spooked from seeing a harmless snake (really need to get over that fear). After we met up again, we took about a 15 minute break on a big slab of rock over looking the valley. Our ankles were so sore by the time we got back to the car. We must be doing something wrong haha.
