| no partners | | | Planned to hit Clark Peak and head down to the pass, but a rather large pine (with quite healthy branches and needles) had fallen across the trail in a very narrow section. I couldn't pick out a route that didn't seem to be asking to slide down the ridge, either for me or Marley. So I reluctantly retreated and decided to explore the rocky jeep road to the left of the TH. What a sweet surprise. I quickly entered a hidden little aspen paradise, with several sweet little open meadows. Will have to come back for the peak, but found a new favorite area. |
