We hiked up the West Baldy Trail about 3 miles or so and found a campsite by the creek, hidden down in the trees away from the trail. This turned out to be a nice campsite, but hard to find from the trail, as I found out the next morning!
The creek is up pretty high, there are zillions of wildflowers, and it is very very green! We had very little rain, and that was nice!
I had not backpacked Baldy before, just had dayhiked it. It really is a nice place to backpack since there are so many nice campsites back in there. |
