Went up Wrightson today with long time hiking friend Karen. Karen is a very strong hiker and she and her husband Charlie have done all of the Colorado 14ers. In fact she has been with me on three of the ones I have done, including my first two: Mount Belford and Mount Elbert. It was fun reminiscing about hikes from days gone by and catching up on current events.

It was sunny on the mountain as I drove toward Madera Canyon, but as the area was pummeled by heavy rain the night before, as soon as the ground started heating up low clouds formed and lifted up the slopes. We were hiking in clouds almost the whole time. Simply wonderful. Incredibly humid, but COOL! :D

Made it to the top in 2 hours and 12 minutes this time.
