| no partners | | | Just hiked from the parking area on CA89 up a little past Big Meadow. Got a late start. Not too crowded considering how late we got there and the fact it was July 4th. Got two birds to add to our newly created California Bird List, an Evening Grosbeak (jaw dropping gorgeous) and a Black-backed Woodpecker (kinda plain). Would've had a nice owl too but the damned thing never turned its head so we could ID it. ~~~~>:( |
