| no partners | | | Wanted to take Mr. Sirena to Jammed Log Pool, and invited our friend Linda to come along. Only she invited her friend who had never been hiking up a creek before. I lent her my hiking pole and she moved very slowly, slipping all over the place and looking like she was going to overheat, so I cut the hike short. It had taken us an hour to go 1/4 mile down to the creek and 1/2 mile up it! Needless to say, we didn't make it to Jammed Log and ended up swimming in some of the pools before it and heading back. Kinda tense day, mainly because we were all concerned about Linda's friend. The swimming was good, though, and it was fun to have Mr. Sirena join me on a summer swimming hole trip. |
