Round two. Early on the trail, not much red, but glorious leaf litter and the great molten gold of the maples that is so different from the Aspen. And the canyon glow. This canyon glows at times depending on the timing of the sun and the reflected light from the towering walls.
One place had such thick gold leaf litter I couldn't figure out where the little creek was without stepping in it. A few more folks on the trail, this is such a long drive most license plates at the parking spot bear the New Mexico insignia.
I had a few "OMG" moments, and of course took even more pictures.
