Up to the Aspens and back. Maples are spotty, some very red, as red as I've seen, and some are very green. I like the different tones in this canyon versus the So Fork Cave Creek. Met a small hiking group as I went down. Upper spring has been cleaned out and has a new covering. Don't like the black pipe along the trail tho---ruins some of the photo ambience.
Really windy this day and hope it doesn't blow off all the Aspen leaves, which are close but not quite at peak. Interesting tree fall, one huge pine is broken off and hanging above your head as you hike by.
