I lost my 2way radio but back tracked 50 feet and found it. 
My GPS shut off on the ridgeline (random brush?)at some point so there is a straight line for a little bit but that wasn't new territory anyway. I saw some game trails but no sign any human went through there recently. I noticed a few old mylar balloons but no broken brush or foot prints before me. While the brush was lighter it's too far around for any advantage and the approach is steep. I saw Cabel, Thoreau, Letty & Brian in the morning before heading out. I met Kenny at the TH after the hike. I guess the yahoos who wrote on my windows had just left.
