| partners | | Richard and I headed over to Camp Grasshopper to help shuttle people to the TH. At the TH, there were 2 guys from Supes SAR and Art(Oldguy) and his partner. Art was going on the north side. The rest of us Hank,Linda,Richard,John, and Angela all went up Peeley. I took an off-trail route up and stayed a while then headed over to Ravine 7 where I saw nonot and heard my first rattler up in that area. I walked right over it but never saw it just heard it and didn't know exactly where to go for a few moments . Later Steve came face to face with a rattlesnake. Wow that was a surprise. This happened about 25 minutes after a deer and I scared each other.
Again no clues in the search for GPSJoe.
After the search, we were conversing about the day and talking with Mike Armstrong(Blind man doing the AZT). Who also is injured and postponing for a short time. During that time, my pack was placed in Hank's jeep along with my keys. So we called John's cell... no answer. I decided to take a nice jog to their camp to retrieve my keys. John gave me a ride back....thanks John. After that John and I climbed on the rocks above the camp.
Next....Great dinner(Pasta and sauce, salad, bread) cooked by Hank. Why isn't there a yum icon... Dinner really hit the spot. A few assorted drinks...a great fire and about 7pm Richard and I headed back to the valley. What great company! |
