After meeting Randy for a complimentary Holiday Inn Express breakfast we packed it in for a stroll up Weatherford...Both east entrances to Shultz Pass Road were closed, so after an hour of frustration, we went around the west entrance to the empty trail-head.

We had a rather leisurely and photogenic stroll up the Weatherford as Randy educated me on some of the wildflowers in this area. Had the trail all to ourselves until we came back down.

Weather cooperated for the most part...had to break out the XXL vinyl jacket only once near the top where we had about 5 minutes of HEAVY, COLD DROPS.

Once back at the truck, enjoyed some cheese puffs and ice cold....er...water for me....of course Randy celebrates a bit heavier. ;)
