My best bud Todd (who lives in Kingman) and I opted for the Potato Patch loop taking the side abandoned road to Hualapai Peak. We had great weather, great views and it was a very successful day.
Did a bit of bushwhack and Class 2/3 climbing on the North side of peak to summit...FANTASTIC 360 views on top. Also around the top were MILLIONS of ladybugs in various huge nests spread out all over...must have had some kind of recent hatch or something...was amazing...
We hiked back down road to Potato and finished the loop.
The Hualapai Mountain Park area is AWESOME and under appreciated.
I'll be back to do more... |
