| no partners | | Explored the corridor between Ferndell and Signal Peak today with a trek down Icehouse Trail to see the Fall colours. Two other vehicles parked at Ferndell, and another two parked at Icehouse trail head, but didn't see anyone on the trails today. Suprising solitude on Pinal Mountain today, save for a couple of ATV'ers that checked us out when we tailgated at the end of the hike. Icehouse colours are pretty much restricted to the upper switchbacks. Nothing much colour-wise after the switchbacks. 
Maybe this was a warm-up to Bassett Peak colours next weekend? Hiking with Lynn and the dogs today. Disappointed that the Fire Tower on Signal Peak is "off limits" unlike some friendlier peaks (eg. Aztek Peak, Kendrick Peak, Webb Peak, etc). Nice views from the top of Signal Peak. Photos to follow...  |
