| no partners | | I did this hike in conjunction with the Middle Trail. Left my house in Safford at 5 am (had to be in Tempe at noon), and started hiking at 7:30 am. I hiked down the Bobtail Trail to the first saddle, where the trail disappeared. It took some hunting, but eventually I found the Pineline Trail. From that point on, I made good time. The views from on top of Signal Peak were outstanding! I took the same way back, until I got to the Middle Trail, which I turned off on. Finished my hikes at 10 am, just as the bugs were getting bad, then flew down Pinal Mountain as fast as I could. The Pineline Trail itself wasn't anything special, but climbing Signal Peak was enjoyable. |
