| no partners | | We returned to the Sedona in late October for the second consecutive year. Last year, we had the great pleasure of meeting Chad (AZWaterRat) who introduced us to this site and invited me to join and submit.
This year's weather was slightly warmer despite the fact that we were two weeks further into the year. We also hit the trail about an hour later this time around. As a result, the sun was a little farther along its diurnal course, resulting generally in less dramatic lighting. We did again connect with folks on the trail, this time a couple of Princeton, NJ. John & his wife have worked for years at the Christian Science Tenacre project. This was their first time in Arizona's red-rock country and they were captivated.
I have posted only three images from this hike, though I will be adding more shortly. In addition to West Fork, we also hiked Long Canyon, Wilson Canyon, Fay Canyon and the Bell Rock/Courthouse paths for a total of about 30 miles. I will post photos of those hikes as well.
Though I love our home in Manitoba, huge portions of my heart reside throughout Montana, Utah and Arizona. I hope we can start to make more than annual pilgrimages. |
