| partners | | After taking the scenic loop drive through Red Rocks Canyon National Conservation Area near Las Vegas this was fitting to be the next scenic drive for the day. We did get out of the car for a 1/4 mile out-and-back walk to a higher viewpoint so I didn't consider it a hike.
I was quite surprised the photos turned out due to a haze over the area when we were there. So for once the photos look better than what I remember seeing first-hand. Even so, when I was last here back in late '99 the colors seemed to be more vibrant. But no matter, if you happen to be driving through Death Valley, it's a worthwhile |
