| partners | | We planned to go farther upstream and hike part of the Pacific Crest Trail but after driving 1275 miles and taking four hikes in the last 2-1/2 days it was not to be... we settled for a very leisurely stroll on the loop around the falls.
Completely uneventful until we were about to walk back up the paved incline to the TH when a doe and her two fawns come walking toward us. Obviously they are very used to people because they acted pretty much oblivious to all the people wandering around. The doe seemed to want to walk along the path past us so we stepped off the trail and it came forward and I'm sure would have passed us if it weren't for the people coming up from behind us... they were speaking very loudly. So the deer turned and went up the bank, feeding off and on as they climbed up.
And that was it for today. |
