The surrounding forest was green and thick. The trail was well-maintained. A couple downed trees made for minor obstacles, but other than that it was an easy hike to a spectacular outlook. Sheer cliffs drop straight down into the lake. This would be a great spot for some 75 foot high cliff jumping, deep water soloing or rappelling.
I caught a glimpse of some of the fall color that is on its way. Also, discovered a small slot canyon that drops down towards the water level after a couple tricky downclimbs. |
