My plan this time was just to head into Jemez Springs to take a few pictures of the town (love that place), then backtrack a short distance and check out some new roads. Eventually I would end up in Cuba, then over to Abiquiu Reservoir, before ending the long day at my lodging for the night in Santa Fe (the pleasant Silver Saddle Motel). Day 3 rocked as expected! 
I knew from previous trips up here in early to mid October that the cottonwoods would be at their yellow best.
