The road is designated as NM485 and paved to the tunnels, then becomes FR376 beyond that as it heads north along the Guadalupe River. Eventually it curves northeast and intersects with NM126 just west of La Cueva. The entire drive is beautiful and there are lots of camp sites for fishing along the Guadalupe portion. I drove the few miles east on NM126 where it intesects with NM4 at La Cueva, before heading back westward on NM126 on my way to Cuba. Day three was far from finished, but this part was very special.
