| no partners | | First time into Pueblo Canyon-other than seeing the last 2 sets of ruins after returning from Cold Spring Canyon ruins in June and hiking to the lookout. Couldnt get anyone to go with me, so, went at it alone. Arrived the night before, Nov. 28th-tried to sleep under the onslaught of the full moon and managed to get only a few hours. Hike was pretty uneventful-save for the above average temperatures that made me wish I was in shorts and t-shirt. Made pretty good time to the north side-about one hour and 20 minutes. Dissapointed that the waterfall was dry-but that reassured me that I wasnt going to slip on any ice and fall; hurting my pride and probably othere things as well. Was surprised by the number of seeps I encountered on both the south and north sides. Ruins were jmust as I expected-awesome. Got plenty of pics, but my camera and phone both gave up the ghost early on, ending my hopes of getting some REALLY good shots up there. Cant wait to hit Cooper Forks Canyon ruins next... |
