| no partners | | I started at the tortilla trailhead. I don't have 4wheel drive so that added an extra 6 miles to the hike. The trail is rough but the scenery is worth it. I didn't see another person the entire way. The trail is narrow but once you get the hang of looking for the markers it's easy to follow. I found a party ballon which probably floated in from town and also 2 full size lawn chairs ditched behind a boulder on the backside of Peter's Mesa? Other than the turkey vultures that seemed to follow me the trail was empty. This hike is better done in cooler temperatures because of the brush, long sleeves and pants would be advised. |
