I got a late start but weather is still cool enough for mid-day hiking in the sun. The trailhead was full of cars but once on the trail I only saw a few people and one large group. The trail was fairly easy to follow and was not overgrown. I heard some buzzing around Whiskey Spring. I didn't see any bees but thought it best not to look too hard. I took a side trip up Trap Canyon to check out the shallow caves. A nice trip on an open trail.
