It was a perfect day in Sedona in December? I like tempuratures in the upper 50's for hiking. The Secret Canyon trail isn't a climb but I wouldn't call it flat. There are alot of small hills and valleys on the way. The hike is mostly through the trees and is well marked for first 5 miles. I went in an extra mile and the leaves hide the trail somewhat. Eventually I came to a narrow scramble about 100 feet up and realized it was time to turn back. The scenery is a lot of cliffs and creek beds with some nicely carved rock.
