| no partners | | On day 2 I started out at the barricade near Workman's Creek. I hiked the 2.7 miles up the road to the Moody Point TH and hiked in from the top. I started out thinking that the reverse might be a better way to get back to the ruins but with the extra 5.4 miles of road hiking that was not the case. Several newly fallen trees obstruct the hike through the forested area. The hike is still pleasant and the temperatures were cool. I hiked down the trail to the saddle above the ruins but decided I had to save enough energy to make it back up the mountain and down the road to the car. The trail was empty accept for a few squirrels and two deer. The second time on the trail was easier to navigate as I new where it should be and could head in that direction I if lost sight of the markers. I got another good workout, completed all of the Moody Point Trail and will get up to the ruins on yet another trip. |
