| no partners | | | Took an afternoon trip out to the Black Hills/Guthrie Peak area to look for poppies. Arrived to discover that there was no gold in them there Black Hills yet so on to plan B. Plan B was a short hike out to the base of Jackpot Mesa to scout a route up to the top for a future trip. I found a good path up and shall return soon. I then finished off the afternoon out at the Black Hills Rockhound Area off-trailing across the collecting fields hunting fire agate and photographing the surrounding hills. Was a well spent afternoon! |
