Used this for a hot weather training hike. :sweat:

Just to the top and then out to the overlook. No Ruins or Loop this time, those hikes are too long for me in 107 degree heat.

I chilled a 3 liter Camelbak and I froze one in the freezer. The frozen one did not melt as fast as I needed the water - sort of like sucking on an ice cube. Won't do that again. I tried every trick I could think of to make it melt faster.

Next time I will add ice cubes and chilled water.

No water on this hike in the summer. Cave Creek was dry and the spring and stock tank at the 3 1/2 mile mark were bone dry.
