Stopped by here on my way to hike a canyon on the Upper Salt River. I occasionally do some sport climbing, so I figured I'd stop by here and check out the cliffs, even if they might be closed to climbing.
The cliffs are so sweet, with many great routes to climb. The coloring, the height, the pools of water, and the overlook just all make for an awesome location to swing by. I 'hiked' down the climbers trail to the pool below the main falls to check out the bolted routes. Be nice if I had a topo for the area. I also noticed that some good lines didn't appear to be bolted, maybe I wasn't seeing them.
If you love cliffs and are driving by, definetly check this place out. Just look for the burned out buildings on the west side of the road with a sign for Senaca. |
