| no partners | | Having been a fan of Edward Abbey since my Dad gave me a copy of Desert Solitaire in my teens, Arches had been high on my list ever since. After Karen and I flew into Grand Junction, we drove over to Moab for the night, getting up early for our day at the Park.
The first trail was The Windows, a short loop with great views of Turret Arch and both North and South Windows. The slickrock was amazing, there was more smooth stone than soil it seemed, with endless formations in addition to the famous arches. The sun was shining and the weather perfect.  |
