Then he remembered Mitt Romney and put me in a crate on the roof . At the airport he left me there and went inside. I started to bark, mom, and whine until a really nice guy came by in his truck and picked me up. He let me sit inside in the air conditioning.
At his house I got to play in the sprinklers, sleep in the people bed , and drink delicious fizzy brown water . It made me run around more.
One day we went golfing. Dad doesn't take me golfing. The sprinklers at the golf course are really strong. I brushed my teeth and removed all the plaque buildup at point-blank range. I got stuck in the water hazard on hole #7 for half an hour, and eventually we had to go home.
Next we went for a long drive, and I got to bark at people on motorcycles while sticking my head out the window. The cars behind us had to use their windshield wipers even though it wasn't raining . When we finally got out of the car it was cold out. We went for lots of walks and played by a really big hole in the ground. Dad's yard doesn't have a big hole in the ground.
I got to play in the woods and chase squirrels and birds . I even got to play with Elk! I completely forgot about being abandoned by those mean people at the airport.
Next I got to run in a huge meadow and eat fresh green grass in a grove of aspen. Dad doesn't have aspen.
Did I mention how much I like riding in the truck with my head out the window?
After another long drive, I was resting on the floor one night when there was a knock on the door. I barked and suddenly I remembered the guy who was standing there. It was dad! He came back for me after all!
I don't have nearly as much fun with him, but I decided to go home with him anyway. What can I say? I'm a dog. I'm dumb. |
