Fun While Dad Was Away 3, AZ

| no partners | | Well dad did it again. He took off to an amazing place with streams and lakes, butterflies and bunnies, tall grass and cool air. And he didn't bring me! :tt:
Before he left, he dropped me off in the Wilderness to fend for myself. Oh I take that back. He left me with my old friend Flat Denny. He lived in our garage for a year. I barked at him. But at least he doesn't go on vacation without me.
Flat Denny and I met some other fun people in the Wilderness. That always seems to happen when dad leaves me. 
In the morning when I woke up I found a new friend. She liked how I sang in the morning when I was sad because my new friends left for work. I also surprised her in the shower. She screamed and said my nose is really cold! :guilty:
I had to share the house with another dog. It's old and not very smart. Take it from me, if I think it's not very smart, it's definitely not very smart. It doesn't even know it's supposed to pee outside. And it tried to eat my food one day. I didn't care because people love me.
One day we went for a long car ride. I barked at the annoying people on bikes. They're scary. After it got dark we got out of the truck and it was cold. I went to sleep next to a warm fire. 
The next day we went for a long walk. I found a really nice river to play in. The water moved much faster than dad's pool. It was fun to play in, but I kept getting farther away from my friends and had to get out of the water and run back to them. : rein :
One time I was crossing a small waterfall and the rocks were slippery. It was really fun when the water pushed me down and I slid into the lake at the bottom  . I wanted to do it again, but I couldn't get out. There was too much water pushing me down under the waterfall. It was really fun  . But I couldn't get out to do it again! 
Then all of a sudden my new bestest friend came running down the side of the river. He ripped his shirt off and jumped in the water to come and get me! It looked just like David Hasselhoff on the TV when dad watches Baywatch. I couldn't hear the music because my head was under water, but I'm positive the theme song was playing. :worthy:
Soon my friend was holding me and swimming toward the shore. It's a lot easier to swim with the current than against it. But how would I know that? I'm a dog! 
After catching our breath for a few minutes, my friend shared some fizzy yellow water with me. I forgot about everything else. We played in the water some more, but now I had to wear a leash whenever I crossed the river so I wouldn't float away. We walked for a few more hours. I was tired.
The next day I didn't want to get up. I stayed in the tent and then jumped into the truck and slept even though we weren't driving anywhere. 
A couple of days later we went for a walk in the afternoon to an ohso nice place by Camelback Mountain. A bunch of people were being nice to me when all of a sudden I heard a familiar voice. It was Dad! He came back for me after all!
I hope he brings me with on his next trip, but I also have fun when he leaves me behind.  |
