I don't know why I don't get to go to the beach. I like the beach! There's sand and water and people and toys and swimming and waves and yellow fizzy water!
But dad says I've been bad lately so I had to go stay with other humans for a while. I forgot about the beach really fast. (So did dad , but that's a story for another day! )
My new humans took me to new places. Normally I just sleep all day in dad's bed. We got to go for a ride in the car and I got to stick my head out the window and bark at people. That's my favoritest thing to do! When I was done barking I got out of the car and there was a stream to swim in! We went for a long walk to the top of a mountain. I could see a really long way but I had to have my leash on so I didn't fall over the edge.
I don't really like my leash. I decided to try and get away, but I had to go through a green plant made of swords. I didn't care! I'm dumb. It was fun!
After our walk, I got to sleep by the fire. I really like to lick the rocks by the fire. Charcoal is delicious!
The next morning I was tired and didn't want to go for a walk. But then my friends came and told me I had to follow them! Blanco called me a wuss, and even though she's 5 years older than me Cup said I had to go! So I did. And it was so much fun! There were creeks to swim in and nice shady forest to walk through. Dad doesn't ever take me to nice shady forests with creeks.
After our walk I took a nice long nap in the car. The next day I got to walk with another old friend. I met Rowdy last year at a fun place that serves delicious yellow fizzy water. He told me he goes on a walk that's named after him. Dad doesn't have a walk named after me.
It was warm. I had fun in the desert, but I like the mountains better. So I convinced my humans to take me to the mountains again. And boy oh boy was it fun! I got to walk and run all day in meadows of grass with streams for swimming. And SNOW! OMG I LOVE SNOW! Dad hasn't taken me to play in the snow since he quit hiking a few years ago. I got to play with Lily too! She's my first love. But I was well-behaved this time. Maybe I'm getting a too old for that kind of fun?
I got to see some really big friends with weird things on their heads and big white butts. I like to bark and chase other dogs, but I just let these friends run away. There was something about them that didn't seem right. I'm not sure what.
After another sleepy ride in the car I got to play with the hose. I love water. Lakes and streams are fun, but not as fun as sprinklers and hoses and showers. Those are much more fun! One of my humans was very frustrated with me but the others were laughing. Yay. I like when people laugh!
I was asleep when the doorbell rang. And it was over. Dad was there. I was super happy to see him. But a little bit sad too.
