I parked at the Buckskin Canyon road. I headed east on the General Crook trail. The sky overhead was dark, but there was blue skies to the east.At FR51, the General Crook trail took off to the north, but I continued to the east to the Deer Spring Lookout Tower.

As I got closer to the lookout tower, the sky started to part and the sun came out. There was a cabin, bathrooms and a pick-nick table by the tower. The tower was closed.

It rained on me for the last 2 hours of the hike. As I drove down the rim road, it started to rain harder. When I got on 260, it started to pour. It poured so hard that the rain came sideways into my Jeep!
