The weather was great, just a bit warm, but the breeze and shade kept things in check. Powers Gultch was the highlight. A very scenic canyon with steep walls, nice foliage, and cool areas you had to scramble up or around (you will lose your GPS signal while in this canyon). Woods Creek was kind of choked up so we zig zagged from the bed to the benches, wherever we could find the least resistance. We were able to locate Wood Creek Spring which had a nice supply of water in the natural catchment, which is where we had lunch. On the way back to the trail head we decide to make a detour to locate the Fifty Dollar Spring. The spring was dry and the piping back to the man made catchment was broken so it was empty as well. We crossed paths with a large group heading to Tony's Ranch while on the trail, and also saw another set of hikers/packers pull into the trailhead as we were leaving. |

| | Didn't really see a flow but there was a nice supply in the natural rock catchment so I will call it a quart a minute. | | _____________________
