Haunted Canyon West Trailhead to Saddle

Hiked Haunted Canyon to Tony Ranch and then on up to the Upper Haunted Canyon Trailhead. This was my first time in the Eastern Superstitions and I have to admit it was pretty cool. The only people I saw were some trail workers a short ways up from the Corral. They said today was their last day out there and that they had been working since Sunday.

Tony Cabin was a cool site for sure. The hike to the upper TH from there gives you a nice little workout and then it drops way down to where it meets 287A. This was my turn around point. I didn't start until almost 2 in the afternoon so the last hour of my hike was in the dark. I had a headlamp but didn't need it due to the full moon. Hiking in Haunted Canyon on a Full Moon is kind of Spooky! Okay not really but it sounded good.

Speaking of the Eastern Supes, I would like to try to hike the full West Pinto sometime from Miles TH to Rogers Trough. Looks like a good one for a shuttle set up.
