| no partners | | This was my first hike to the lookout. I was camping that weekend with a singles group in Pena Blanca Canyon near the lake, and knew that SAHC was doing this hike and decided to join them. I was a fairly new member to the club at that time. Some of the people I recognize in the photo include Larry Aagard and his son, Theo Badenhuizen, Rajendra Srivastava , Frank Royball, Jack Olson, and Judy Byrnes.
Larry once owned a bar in Tucson when he lived here, but his most notable legacy while hiking was that he always used a rubber stamp when he signed into the summit logs.  |
