| no partners | | Tackled this Ridge line loop from south to north. My first trip through this route and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Nice lead-in and lead-out trails, but once on top of the ridge line there are no trails, no cairns to mark the way. Although, the way to go is obvious...just stay high and follow the ridge line. Came across a herd of javelina before reaching the ridgeline. They seemed surprised, but weren't terribly concerned about my presence. The biggest one tried staring me down and snorting at me. I didn't scare that easily. Instead, I grabbed the cam and fired off a few pics. I saw no one along this route until I started my way down the trail at Boulder Saddle. I passed a couple who were on their way down from the saddle. |
