First we stopped at the old "Dog House" and corral. We saw a small building in the distance that we hiked to. We stayed in the area for 45 minutes, then continued our journey.
We changed our plans during the next portion of the drive. We decided to head up to Copperopolis first. I have been there before with the same friend on Quads. http://hikearizona.com/photoset=24786&start=15 We hiked around the area, and into the mine shaft. WE also had to go visit Annie May's Grave. We stayed in that area for a little over 2 hours. We decided to scratch the Bradshaw's Grave site, and go look for a mine that I have been researching. This mine was close to Copperopolis. I took a wrong turn and ended up on the road to Bradshaw's Grave. We decided to go for it, since this was our original plan anyway. This road was very rough. I would recommend experienced drivers with 4x4s on this portion of the road. My rear E locker and 4low came in handy here. We made the drive to the Gravesite. Snapped a couple of pictures then took off to Wickenburg. |
