My drive and flight home after 3 days at Glacier National Park was scenic too :D . I drove the long way on Highway 2 to I-15 rather than taking my shortcut. Plus I was nostalgic for a Montana taco from Taco John's and I had to go to Cut Bank to get that. I ordered up a couple and then went to the local park to enjoy it and gaze across at a grain elevator.

From there it was on to Shelby in my race car (it was a rental built for speed, LOVED it) where I enjoyed scenery at 80 MPH as I drove by the small towns off of the freeway. But I still got to see the crops and cattle and horses. The brilliant yellow of the canola fields always catches your eye. It was very green in Montana for this time of year too.

Next, continuing on my nostalgia run, I decided to take the river drive in Great Falls before visiting my dad. I drove by the Old St Paul/Milwaukee Depot where I had worked when there was a restaurant there. But I had also worked with the atty back in 1979-80 who tried to stop the RR from pulling out to no avail of course. However, it was an interesting case and experience in so many ways :) . I continued the river drive and made a couple interpretive stops along the falls of the Missouri River.

After visiting with my dad and brother it was time to head to GTF for my flight back to PHX. I took pics and movies of the route from GTF to SLC. It was great fun as I, now more than ever, am curious about the land and the earth.

Here is my video from that trip: http://youtu.be/L90tKY2ETOQ includes snipets from all of the above.

Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled.
