| no partners | | Day one-- Got 'er Done, what a beautiful and tough canyon! More slickrock, bigger pools, higher pour offs, bouldering. Handline came in handy for hauling dog and packs and a belay for me on our multi pitch scramble out a sidecanyon. More water would make for some wonderful small waterfalls but make it seriously more difficult. The slickrock hallway we saw from above on our previous trip was a wonderland as were several other sections.
Day two-- Brian had an old lead on an old homestead nearby. Some manzanita scraping of the vehicle and we found it, hiked around a bit, and then located some hill top ruins probably Indian, although I found only one plain ware shard. Scouted some mine exploration for the future. |
