We don't need no stinkin GPS, we don't need no stinkin maps, we just need an old dirt road and some cross country. Absolutely great, hard day starting with unexpected but not exactly great vehicle access, hiking in a cold blustery wind, wonderful in what would be a toasty desert area, then drops of rain and the race to the first mine tunnel. We would explore several, eating lunch while it drizzled heavily, wonderfully, making the next walk brushing wet vegetation, a not recent experience. Incredible views of the changing weather sweeping though. Old mines with no roads to them, an amazing amount of equipment I guess by burro as we did not find any cable remains, suppose could have been removed. Still as usual we did not finish, more to do, perhaps more major remains.
