Sunday, Apr 6 was a beautiful day and I decided to day hike Cochise Stronghold Trail. I got gas and coffee at the Circle K in Tombstone at about 9:00 am and made it to the West Trail Head at about 10:00. Got underway at about 10:30. What a great trail and very nice drive to the trailhead.
I hiked to Cochise Stronghold campground and had lunch in the shade on a picnic table. Relaxed a little and headed back to the west side. About a 4.5 hour round trip. What a great way to spend a day.
Wildflowers ObservationIsolated Very few wildflowers. Hope that changes soon.
Halfmoon Tank is looking and smelling a little rough. I would make water from it if I had to, but luckily I didn't have to. The good news is there does not look like there have been any cows at the tank. It will get better with the monsoons.
